Well you never know what kind of weather you are going to get in Calgary and as luck would have it we got wind…like LOTS of wind and cold too! Their wedding was held at Pinebrook Golf & Country Club which we love shooting at because of all the natural light! This was our first wedding in Calgary this year and it was sooooo good to be out doing what we love. Thanks so much guys for being so awesome and going outside to do pictures. ( I think Sharon’s lips were starting to turn blue.) Your bike made for some excellent pics so we appreciate it ![]()
Hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in Jamaica!

When Sharon asked Jeff who drove the bike to the ceremony..Jeff’s answer was ” I don’t know”.
haha Jeff didn’t want to get Robbie in trouble for driving it there!

I caught her trying to get a pic of me! LOL

I love this one I caught of Robbie’s parents as we were leaving..so candid and cute!

Paula + Matt…the photobooth ( Calgary Wedding Photographer photobooth)
Well here’s the photo booth slideshow from our New Years Wedding! What a great night…we were in Teatro’s and had a blast. We had only a little corner of the restaurant for our booth so we had to use their artwork as a backdrop but I think it looks awesome! Enjoy the fun…. Pics first and slideshow last!
oooh here’s a nice one of the father of the Bride! Love it!

hahaha I like the serious look with the crazy get-up!!
Okay..now WORK IT party people!!!

Best Wedding Photograph win from Canadian Bridal Network
Exciting news! We recently won the Canadian Bridal Network’s Best Wedding Photographs contest of 2009… beating 500+ other entries. What’s really exciting is we were a multiple winner and had one runner up!
Here’s what they had to say…
Besides the obvious artistic and minimum technical requirements (technique, composition, colours, creativity etc) what we ultimately looked for was (a) the simple “wow factor” – would the bride/couple frame a large format version of this photo and display it in their living-room? would it dazzle their quests? (b) the “wedding factor” – is this a great photo or a great wedding photo? Unfortunately this meant that some incredible photographs did not “make the cut”, because they “could have been anywhere”, not necessarily at a wedding… In short, we looked for the type of image that would make you want to do it all over again, even if you were already married !
“one shooter actually had two photos on the list! (did you notice?) Wow.. extra kudos goes to As I See It in Calgary. We were not sure if we should “allow” this, but since during the selection process, the photos had been totally “anonymised” – they just had a serial number – it was only fair to leave them as-selected.”

Here is the runner up…
Jason + Elle…the engagement session (calgary wedding photographers)
This is a pretty exciting blog post for us…
First off I just want to thank all our fantastic past and present clients, blog followers, friends, family and all my supportive and awesome photographers that we hang with. 2009 was a successful and fun year for Jeff and I and all you guys made it all possible. We are looking forward to seeing what 2010 brings us! Okay..I am done with the sappy stuff. lol
Secondly.. we have changed our look! We have a new LOGO and color scheme!!! Yay! Our wonderful designer Ashley from I Struck Media created one we both love! It’s quite a process and I have to say Ashley has been FANTASTIC! The logo is basically a graphic interpretation of a “love knot” but it also has a hint of an eye shape and a camera lens. The font is easy to read which is a feat because our name has so many vowels and the two little red dots symbolize Jeff and I in Starbucks red! I heart you Ashley! She is also designing all our marketing material and came up with some fabulous materials and ideas for business cards etc. This has been a wonderful experience for someone like me who doesn’t like so much change all at once! LOL
Thirdly we came up with a cool idea of doing a “interview” per say of our couples to go along with their blog posts! I love reading and learning more about our rock star clients and thought our blog followers might like it too! We love our couples and getting to know them even more is so awesome! We enjoy what we do not only for the photography but for all the friends we meet along the way. Take a look below to see our first post like this….
A little background on these two…
Elle and Jason met at Collingwood elementary school when they were just little. You remember way back then?… when boys had cooties? They also grew up blocks away from each other. How cool is that? Well fate had it they they were meant to be together and here they are many years later getting married this summer. The are both living in Vancouver B.C. right now and flew into Calgary for their engagement session in December..the crummy part was it was -34 without the windchill. It was seriously cold..I had no idea if our cameras could handle that kind of cold, they did and so did we! I still can’t believe they were up for shooting outside…haha we love you guys for that. So in love and cute together, here is their Q&A.
Elle & Jason soon to be Purnell
When’s the big day? July 8th, 2010. Turns out it is also the day of Elle’s grandparents’ 60th anniversary!
How did you meet? Jason’s sister became friends with Elle in the 1992/1993 school year when they were in grades 2 and 4 respectively. Jason has been friends with Elle’s brother ever since, and last summer Jason and Elle’s brother came out to BC where Elle lives to see a concert. During that time, they realized there was something between them they couldn’t deny Two weeks later they called it official.
How did he/she propose? When Jason was in Vancouver visiting Elle he made sure she got off of work early. He then took Elle to Lynn Canyon Park in North Vancouver. Once there, he found a quiet place on the pathway where they had a quick lunch and Jason then got down on his knee and asked her to marry him.

Matt + Melissa…the wedding (Calgary Wedding Photographer, Lougheed House)
Just a quick sneak peek for Matt and Melissa’s wedding! They had the ceremony and reception at the Historic Lougheed House in Calgary. It was a beautiful night with the snow falling softly as they vowed to be together always. Being a evening wedding we got some real neat images as we used alternative light sources because of the lack of natural light! I love the effect…
