Hey there!  We are Shelley & Jeff Weber, photographers from Calgary Alberta.  We are a husband and wife team who are known for our romantic realism and ability to capture those special moments and places.

This blog follows both our personal and professional life.  This is like our own photo album of the things we do, the places we go and the people we love.  We want to give you a sense of who we are and what we are about. Cheers!

Mary + Jason…the wedding | Calgary Wedding Photographers

I hate blogging…let me tell you why…
How do I sum up a whole wedding day of tears, laughter, love and beauty in thirty or so pictures? It’s hard, very hard and if I had to blog this same wedding tomorrow I bet you there would be thirty different pictures in here. I guess this is why we give our couples a slideshow story of the day… it’s a chance to relive the wedding day as it unfolded. The blog is to show a few hi-lights!

This wedding was especially tough to narrow down for a blog post. There were so many great moments it was really hard to choose…these two have got to be in my top ten of best couples ever. Not that we don’t enjoy every couple we work with, but these two have an energy and a zest for life that makes you happy and you just want to hang out with them. They will go through life with lots of laughs and enjoy the ride no matter what speed bumps they encounter!

We also got to spend another evening with them out in Banff doing their Trash the Dress session..check back in a few weeks to see the amazing pictures from that session!
Enjoy…

Where did you get married: Our hometown – Calgary!
What’s your Wedding theme: Summer casual elegance. Our wedding palette consisted of pale pink & champagne colors with pearly blue & orchid accents. We got really lucky with the weather – a perfect summer day that was sunny but not too hot! We also incorporated some Chinese wedding traditions with a traditional 10-course meal for the reception & a tea ceremony for our immediate families.
Her best moment: Walking out of the church as a married couple! The happiest moment of my life! I cried of course…
His best moment: Walking down the aisle with my new wife at the church after the ceremony. (we separately picked the same moment! Perfect!)
Fave wedding gift: We really appreciated all the gifts from our registry – we’ve had a chance to break in the kitchen items now and they are lovely! My friend Laura took the time to print out photos of Jason and I and put it all in a lovely scrapbook – it was really thoughtful!
Best surprise: During our reception, instead of guests tapping their wine glasses for us to kiss, our MCs got the crowd involved by making it a game – we would mimic whatever was demonstrated to us by our guests. One of Jason’s cousins brought his newborn baby girl up, dangled her by the heels and kissed her. I was reeling in shock & laughter!! I didn’t want my dress to flip up! LOL… Jason is a fast thinker though, and he was already up on a chair behind me. Then he bent over for a spiderman kiss. It was a blast!
How would you describe your day: fun fun fun! Having our family & friends celebrate this important start in the journey of marriage was fantastic.

I love this one..this is where she sees Jason arriving at her parents house.“Best Family Picture Ever” Jason’s parents would not crack a smile no matter how much he hammed it up..lol

Sean + Livia…the wedding ( Rafter Six Ranch Wedding )

What a beautiful winter wedding! Rafter Six Ranch is such a great spot to get married, it’s romantic and the scenery is stunning. I love the fact we have the Canadian Rocky Mountains so close to Calgary, we are very lucky to live here. Sean and Livia are living out east right now but decided to hold their wedding out here where all their friends and family are. It was a perfect day, the sun was shining and the temperature hovered around zero which was bearable! LOL There were lots of laughs and I think you guys are lucky to have such great friends and family in your life! Enjoy your sneak peek… The guys were hanging out in the loft….Here she comes..how cool is that to arrive in a horse drawn sled???I love this one..Dad was peeking to see if it was time for them to come down the isle.oooh this church was FANTASTIC!!!!A candid shot of them leaving the church…Sean and Livia had a few moments to themselves as they went for a sleigh ride. I like how all their friends and family are crowded on the church stairs to see them off!haha I just had to add this…Sean’s Dad was dressed for the weather as he  chauffeured everyone from the church to the main lodge! I love this one of Sean….
