All the way from Hong Kong they flew in for the holidays to be with their families. The perfect time to do their engagement session before their wedding this summer! Our weather was chilly and they weren’t used to our weather over here but being true Canadians they toughed it out and we even got a few shots with no coats. Pure awesomeness! We had never actually met in person although we had chatted on the phone a couple of times. We really seemed to click…Elena has personality plus and she’s even cuter in person
It was really nice to get to spend time with these two and get to know them better. Speaking of which……
How did he/she propose?
In April of 2009 Elena went to Calgary to visit her family and friends for Easter. When Mark picked her up from the airport in Hong Kong, he took her back home to a room filled with 100 roses. He showed her the rose petals leading up to a chair that he had set up for her to sit in (so she wouldn’t faint and fall over). He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him and she said “Of course!”.
