We first met Claire and Colt at Megan and Sam’s wedding last year. ( See photos HERE) Claire is Sam’s sister and she and Colt were newly engaged at that point! As luck would have it we got a call from them inquiring about wedding photos..we were so excited..not only are they fun to be around but look how gorgeous they are! lol I have to say we love shooting weddings where we already know the family..it just makes them that much more special. When’s the big day? September 1, 2012
How did you meet? We were camping out at MacLean Creek, where we had both been going separately for years. I was playing with a bunch of random dogs so Colt went and borrowed the cutest puppy he could find from a friend and came over to say hi. The puppy was so cute I completely ignored Colt and we didn’t end up talking until later when he came back by himself.
How did he/she propose? He used the puppy trick again… we had been talking about getting a silver lab for years and I was finally getting to the point where I was tired of waiting and was contacting breeders and was hoping to put a deposit down with one of them that we really liked. Little did I know that Colt already had, and so he had to let the breeder know his plans so she could help him out. One day I came home and there was our new puppy Luna just sitting in the living room. I was so shocked and happy and overwhelmed I didn’t even notice the ring attached to her collar at first. And then he got down on one knee
Favorite thing about each other?
he says: Her good looks and funny sense of humor. I often laugh.
she says: The way he makes me laugh.. and the way he laughs at me and makes me feel like I’m funny. And how I can be completely myself with him
Your idea of a perfect date?
he says: I would have to agree with below.
she says: Out for dinner somewhere nice and then home to change into sweatpants and watch a movie together with our pup and a bottle of wine
What’s your favorite thing to do together?
Travel, hang out with our dog, go out for dinner
One place in the world you must go see?
he says: Thailand
she says: England
What are you looking forward to the most on your wedding day?
he says: Getting married and having a blast with friends and family.
she says: Hearing Colt’s vows. No pressure
