We adore these two..when we met Kim + Mark for the first time we knew we were a perfect match for them so I was thrilled when I got the cutest email from her asking if we would like to photograph their wedding..

I mean as a wedding photographer it doesn’t get any better than that!
On their way to our house for the engagement session there was torrential rain falling but we decided to go ahead anyways and am I ever glad we did. As we were heading out to do their shoot the rain stopped, the sun came out so we quickly pulled over on the side of the road and we got an amazing double rainbow picture. I have had people ask me if it was Photoshopped in..no it wasn’t lol! Poor Kim and Mark barely got a “hello” and I was instructing them to hurry and go across the road so I could get the rainbow..I knew it wasn’t going to last =) Thanks guys for being so speedy…lol
If your friends and family are anything like you guys we are in for a real treat. Your wedding is going to be a blast, full of love, tears and laughter =)

When’s the big day? – August 10th, 2013
How did you meet? – We actually met for the first time in Grade 4! We didn’t date officially until Grade 11, and we went to Prom together in Grade 12. We are authentic High School Sweethearts!
How did he/she propose? – I proposed up in Windermere, British Columbia. Kim and I both grew up vacationing in that area with our families and we spend a lot of time up there now. We were up there on a weekend alone together and on August 14th I took her to our favorite beach after we had a nice dinner in town. That beach is normally really crowded, and that night it was just the two of us. We got really lucky. I waited until the sun was setting and then got down on one knee in the sand and proposed to her. It was an unforgettable moment; definitely a memory we will never forget.
Favorite thing about each other?
he says: Her eyes, her confidence, how excited she gets at the smallest things, and her ability to laugh at herself.
she says: His smile, the sound of his laugh, and definitely the size of his heart. He has an amazing ability to take care of everyone around him and he makes everyone feel happier.
Your idea of a perfect date?
he says: Cooking a nice dinner at home and relaxing by the fire.
she says: A night at home on the couch eating popcorn watching movies.
Kisses, hugs or snuggles?
he says: Hugs for sure. We are both huge huggers.
she says: This is a hard question – I am a really affectionate person and love all of them! It’s a toss-up though for me between hugs and snuggles.
What’s your favorite thing to do together?
We like to spend time in the mountains in BC. We hike in the fall and spend a lot of time at the lake during the summer. We basically love getting out of the city on the weekends!
Favorite Starbucks drink?
he says: Venti Americano
she says: Grande non-fat, no-whip, White Chocolate Mocha
Your favorite hangout?
It’s a tie between the cabin in the mountains and our apartment! We are major homebodies and just like spending time together where we are the most relaxed and comfortable.
One place in the world you must go see?
he says: Bora Bora
she says: The British Virgin Islands
What are you looking forward to the most on your wedding day?
he says: Definitely seeing Kim walk down the aisle, saying our own vows, and embracing every moment.
she says: Mark’s face when I’m walking down the aisle, and spending the day with everyone we love most in this world. We have dated for a long time, so we really just want it to be a big celebration of the love we share for each other.
